School History:
Established in 2014 with just 214 learners, Nomzamo has grown into an established educational institution, committed to nurturing young minds and serving the community of Nomzamo. The school operates as a no-fee WCED institution to ensure education is accessible to all learners.
Extracurricular Activities:
Our learners participate in a variety of activities, including Netball, Soccer, Drama, and Music.
Clubs & Societies:
Students can join the School Christian Organisation, as well as Reading Clubs, fostering spiritual growth and a love for literature.
Community Service:
Nomzamo actively identifies and assists disadvantaged learners, with parents playing a vital role in school fundraising initiatives to support these efforts.
Achievements:
We are proud of our consistent academic and sports achievements. Our first matric class in 2016 achieved a 56% pass rate, and by 2022, we achieved 88.8% matric pass rate. Our sports teams, particularly in Netball and Soccer, continue to excel.
School Facilities:
Though the school operates in temporary structures, it is well-equipped with a functional science lab, a mini hub with full internet access, and a computer room with over 30 computers. In 2024, we added a new sick bay that also serves as a counselling room. We have 26 classrooms, 3 of which are equipped with interactive whiteboards. Capitec generously sponsored our Technology Hub.
